Dana was a good friend of mine (and of a number of our classmates) from childhood until his death.

I was fortunate in many instances (and unfortunate in a few) to be involved in adventures with Dana.   

Dana was the first person that I heard the saying "somebody being somebody" about.  What I remember most about Dana is "Dana being Dana".
