I am devastated by this news. What a gentleman Geof was and what a full life he lived. Unfortunately, the MHS Class of 1964 "In Memory" list is growing. May God Bless everyone, those gone and those still with us. Bob

It is hard to except the fact that this kind of news is coming more and more! We are just visitors on earth. Geoffrey has went home yes he will be missed by we who are still here. I pray for comfort for his family. We are just class mates, and friends. So long classmate, and friend.

It's hard to get my head around the loss of another classmate. So many happy memories doing plays with Geoff. You were a great guy and a good friend. I will always cherish the fact that I was one of the few people who got away with calling you Godfrey. Rest in peace my friend. Thanks for the memories.

I was sorry to hear of Geof's passing. While I didn't know him well, I do remember him as a gentleman & and a scholar. May he rest in God's peace.

I am so sorry to hear of Geof's passing. He had just made a comment on Feb 27 and less than 5 weeks later he has passed. My heart goes out to his family. Rest in peace, my friend. ... Ron

This is such sad news.
Geof was always someone that I respected and admired. His intelligent thought, and lighthearted, insightful wit and observations were always enjoyed.  Frosting on the cake to the daily life of MHS, and much enjoyed.

I'm glad the he and his family had the times to enjoy the art and architecture in the treasures of Europe in his retirement years. I enjoyed his discoveries in his travel notes to us.

My sincere condolences to the Grimes family along with the other of Geof's classmates.

I was so sorry to hear about Geof.  We were in kindergaten through highschool and then at Iowa State.  Fond memories of him, a dry sense of humor and truly a gentleman.  My thoughts and prayers are with Vicky and his family at this time and the days ahead.
