I'm sad to learn of Jan's passing -- in the Class Photo Gallery that is rather obscurely titled "2 galleries, 3/18/12, Class Pictures" I posted a photo I took of her at the (then) new Woodbury school, where she was my best friend in second grade before I moved to other schools. She was as pretty then as she remained through her life. I last saw her at the Congregational Church in Marshalltown at the time of my father's death and she was sweet and gracious in remembering our past.
