Birthday:    January 24, 1946

Comments:    Retired from the USAF in 1991. Worked in the golf business for awhile and then sold Chevrolets; then worked for the Wichita County Texas Sheriff Office and started here in Fort Worth back on 9/11/2000.
Have written/published three books (using D. RISDON WESTEN) and have three more started.
I play golf, bowl, shoot pool, skeet and like to do about anything that's legal and competitive. Although, I'm a bit more fluffy than I use to be and have a bit less energy than I use to think I had.
Haven't had my own teeth since I was 17, some of you may remember that, but still have all my hair, a sense of humor and a sense of purpose in my life.
I still believe these things:
A- No one is above the Law (be it God's or Man's).
B- Lead, Follow or get out of the way.
C- "Do not follow where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail"; (R.W.Emerson) --- almost a quote.

School Story:    161 Semesters Hours on transcript; that only got me an AA.
Have a bit over 200 now and still no Bachelors.
My counselor at XXX (I won't say), told me that I needed 12 more resident hours to qualify for a degree in either Psychology, Law Enforcement Management, Criminal Justice, Language (I'm a German linguist) or Human Resource Management.
My answer was/is: I'm 64, why bother now?
As for MHS: didn't get there until my Sophomore year; but, have great memories and made lasting friendships. I did attend one reunion and discovered that we're all about the same, just older.....those who were honest, positive and just all around good people, are still that....those that fit elsewhere....well, they still fit into that tiny dusty wrinkled box.
So, guess what I'm saying, without intending to sound offensive or on a high horse, is that when I recall folks talking about "college" or "the military" will help that kid OR their kid "grow up" or "mature"; Life's Lesson has taught me that THAT AIN'T EXACTLY SO.
You may recall I sang a little and was active in theatre. I don't sing much but the time and cast of characters portrayed did aide me significantly in my adult life, particularly when I was working undercover narcotics.
Another Life Lesson: remember what you learn, because you never know when or how you might need that information, training or talent.

Military Service:    UNITED STATES AIR FORCE, Retired

Saw the Senior Picture. That is doubtlessly the "Before". This is "After"; after what is left to your generousity.
