KC, we do wish you could be there!  The more the merrier!  This isn't exactly an annual event, it was sort of a spur of a moment thing that just escalated and I'm so glad it did!  I am so excited to see Joe and Dave and some of the guys I haven't seen since High School!

There was a trip being discussed for Vegas in late October but I haven't heard anything much on that lately.  It would be great to have everyone come here!  There is a lot to do even if you don't gamble!

Keep in touch and we'll see you next time!

Patty

Patty,

Bulanek's are in site 2, Armendt's in site 3, you are site 4 and Joe is site 5, all across from me. Tell Ben that we are going to put them in a half circle, backs to the road. He'll know what I mean. Would you rather have #1, a water site, but not much shade?

I added another picture for your Vegas friends. VERY hot here! Heat index is 115! It better cool down or people will have to visit me in my air conditioned camper! We're way too into my "No Whine Zone!"

Do I have a water hook-up where you have me?  Do I need one?  Am I close to everyone?

That's all I care about.  I will pass this information on to Ben.

Did you see where they are all meeting on Govenor Road at someone's house and then going to the Maid-Rite?

Joe, Is Larry O'Neal coming to the picnic? We need a count of everyone coming and how many in their party so we know how many steaks to buy.

Any pop and beer requests? Steve's in charge, so we'll end up with all Busch Lite if you don't speak up! I have a blender if anyone wants to bring something for blended drinks.

Patty, Ben can either fill your water tank or you can take the water site where you'll be hooked to a faucet.

Hi Kay, Larry said he was not sure if he would attend the Barbie, I requested if he and his bride decuded to attend to be sure and let you and/or Vic know.  I will call him again and remind him.  What is the last date for him to confirm?  Kay do I need to do anything regarding hook ups?  joe C.

I just talked to Shannon and she said #4 is fine and I don't need a water site because they have water.  She said if I run out, they have hoses.  So #4 is fine and I also told her how Ben is supposed to park it.  All is good.  I will have the girls Thurs. night and Fri. night and then on my own Saturday night.  There will be 3 of us but I am going to bring meat so you don't have to worry about 3 steaks for me.  I'm going to buy some hamburger and chicken to grill up too.  I'll share my steak because I don't eat a lot of steak.

I see a message just popped up from Joe.

I looked at the forecast and it looks like really cool at night.  I think I'll bring a sweatshirt!

Later!

Joe, You don't need to do a thing for the MH. We'll have the air on, clean sheets, awning out, extra lawn chairs and ready for you and anyone else you invite. You have a refrigerator, shower, TV, microwave, you know, all the necessities for camping. The best part, wonderful neighbors!

Kay you are a sweetie!!  I just thought of somthing when you said the heat index was 115!  I think we can skip the campfire and perhaps have a camp candle!!  Can't Wait!!!!!  joe C.  PS do you like carmal Fraps?

You're lucky, Joe.  I can't guarantee I'll have clean sheets!  I'll be lucky the steps are flipped down so I can walk in!  It's okay, I'm used to roughing it when I go back to Iowa!  Kay and Jim are good people and we are lucky to have them for friends!

Joe, did you look at the extended forecast?  It says 60's at night.  That's cold for me!  I'm bringing a sweatshirt.  I think the bonfire at night is going to be perfect!  I just hope it doesn't rain and be stormy.

Where's my Maid-Rite?  It would be really good right now!

Later!

Patty, you are right on, we are very lucky to have friends like Kay and Jim.  If it is going to be in the 60s at night, yea, camp fire is good along with sweatshirts and/or jackets!!  OMG this is going to be so cool!  I hope that evryone gets plenty of sleep this week because I plan to keep them up till the wee hours of the morning next weekend!  If you are in need a Maid Rite fix now, I will order one Fed X overnite!  Joe C.

I think I may be lucky to have YOU for a friend!  I'll wait on the Maid-Rite.  It will be that much better when I do get one!  You know, like worth waiting for!

I just got off the phone with Kay.  They were just pulling into the campground after going to town for groceries.  We talked about how exciting and how much fun we think this is going to be and hope that nothing happens that people can't make it!  I wish I was leaving tomorrow rather than a week from tomorrow!  I'm a night person so sitting around a campfire talking is right up my alley!  Just don't have a T.V. and recliner there!

It is almost time for me to get off work.  I think I'll go home and start packing!

Later!

Great news!  I just don't think I can be any more excited about a weekend!

I'll bet more people will sign up at the last minute!  They will see what fun we are going to have and WANT to join in!

Kay; I got messages from Doug, and Paul saying they would not make it. I will still bring my Guitar just in case we have a few brave souls show up to jam. I believe it is going to be a fun time no matter what comes. As I read to comments it sounds like there will be a lot of eight day clocks wound.

Do you have enough tables for food? I have three six foot if needed.

Bless your heart, Leo, you sure are working to make this event a success. I hate to have you haul all kinds of equipment, when none of us play any instruments. Oh wait, I have a tambourine and spoons that I bought at a blue grass festival. LOL Better leave the sound system home. The other campers probably wouldn't appreciate the volume.

There are lots of picnic tables and between Steve and us, we should have enough serving space. We'll discuss details with them this weekend.

Only a week away!

Okey! Dokey! Will leave it home! I usually have it anyway, but I will give the van a break. I have two gallons of gas generators all ready hope that will be enough. The best part is I get to go home and not suffer the out come LOL!!!!

You can sure tell Vic is excited about the whole thing! He has posted all our conversations on E-mail. Good for him! I like to see all get wound up about the good old days, and the chance once again to meet and remember our growing up. I know I have been looking forward to good food good friends and lots of gab.

It's Monday, the week of our class gathering at Twin Anchors Campground in Colo.

I'm especially excited that several people are coming who haven't been to a reunion in a very long time. Joe, have you ever been to one? I know people are really excited to see you and we have had a number of people who are very disappointed to not be able to come. Besides Joe Childs, Steve Storjohan, Pam Knight Arment, Diana Youngeblood Muckelroy, Jerry Bulanek, Patty Gould Duff and Dave Elledge are camping. If Friday night doesn't work, join us any time.

We are discussing eating at the Country House Saturday, an on-site restaurant. We might have breakfast, but leaning towards lunch since Joe wants one of their famous home-made tenderloins. Any thoughts campers? I'm not sure where our other out-of-state visitors are staying, but please come back Saturday.

Mother Nature doesn't seem to be cooperating with our plans. It looks like rain for the first part of the week and hot. We have the air-conditioned camp rec hall reserved for rain, but we might choose to eat there if it's too hot.

Would anyone prefer chicken instead of a steak?

Kay
