Leo,

Doug Finders plays the guitar.  Maybe you can contact him to see if he's coming and if so, bring his guitar.  I don't know of anyone else who has a guitar.

Jim

Some good 50's & 60's music would be great!  Do we have a way of playing CD's if I bring some?  I have all the Time Warner CD's from the 50's and 60's.

I am so excited!  The turn out looks great so far and hopefully more will decide at the last minute to attend.

Keep up the good work you guys back in Iowa!

See you in less than 2 weeks!

Patty,

Steve has a CD player we can use or if you don't want to pack yours, I have Sirius radio. We can play oldies or whatever people like.

Ben and family camped this past weekend. Enjoyed visiting with them.

Just a little over a week to go. Excited that Bulaneks are camping now. Not too late to join the fun everyone!

Do I get to leave my Guitar at Home? Looks like we won't be having many musicians. To bad could have been a lot of fun. Leo IHS

Leo, if you want to bring your guitar I think you should.  We have all evening to visit, eat, and enjoy any entertainment anyone has to offer!  Spontaneous parties are always the best and we will have fun whatever we do.

Kay, I called Ben and they were eating breakfast at the restaurant there in Colo.  I didn't get a chance to talk to him much because they were eating.  Did he by any chance mention getting his trailer there by Thursday?  I can't get a lot out of him!  I'm also trying to figure out how I'm going to get back and forth between Colo and Marshalltown.  I may have to rent a car for a couple days!  I'll figure something out.

I am so excited and have already made out my grocery list and trying to figure out what clothes I'll need.

See ya soon!

Well I was ask to bring it, but I don't want to be the one man show! I have enough Eqipment to rock the house if I have one plug-in for power. I also have an accoustic Guitar. Since Kay ask we will see what she has to say.

I won't be camping, but I don't live all that far.

Patty, I will be staying at the camp grounds in Kay's Motor Home.  If you need a place you can bunk there until you get a trailer or you can stay there and I will get a room!  Just don't worry about a roof over your head, you are covered.  Also I will have a car, so I can run you around if you wish. no need to rent one.  Give me a shout and let me know!  Just as excited as you, Joe C

I am on the phone with my son as we speak and he is going to make sure my house is there!  Thanks for your offer and we don't want you at a hotel, we want you at the campgrounds!  Don't you be giving your house away!  I have a family reunion on Saturday so I will be gone for about 4 or 5 hours and then back on Saturday afternoon.  When are you arriving?  I will be at the campground early Thursday evening and then have to leave around 11:30 on Saturday for the family reunion and then back to the campground until Sunday checkout time.  I just can't tell you how excited I am to see you guys!  I know I haven't seen you or Dave Elledge since we graduated.  If I have, I don't remember!

9 days!  YIPPEE!

Hi Patty, glad you are going to have a home!!  I get in Friday, the 23rd @ 11:55 am and will pick up a car @ the Cedar Rapids Airport.  Should be in town by 1:00 pm or 1:30 @ the latest.  I plan to meet Dave Elledge, Larry O'Neal and maybe Jeff Downing @ Andy's (Bob Andersons) home and then we plan to have a quick toast before taking off for the Maid Rite for a late YUMMY lunch.  God I'am getting pumped!!  I will be more than happy to take you to town Saturday for your reunion and, bring you back if you wish.  I have not seen anyone from our class except Jeff Downing and Bob Ahrenkiel and, only because is Bob is my Denist and Jeff lives only a few miles away!  Look forward to seeing you next week.  Take care and be safe!  Joe C.

You are so sweet!  I think I have the transportation to town covered because my son may be at the campgrounds Friday night, Saturday morning and I talked to my mother and I can use her car Saturday afternoon to get back!  Everything is working out really well.

It is HOT here and will be for the next week, but I'm sure I don't have to tell you anything about heat!  My son told me there is a front on its way to Marshalltown and it looks like some nasty storms.  I told him to get it out of Iowa before we get there!  If there is a storm I will be motor home hopping!  I am deathly afraid of storms and have been my whole life!  It is rare in the past 23 years I've heard thunder and lightening and I don't really miss it a lot!  Let's hope the weather cooperates with our weekend!

See you soon!

Patty

It sounds like Patty and Joe have everything under control! I have extra beds in my camper and Joe, you're welcome to invite anyone to sleep in the motorhome.

Leo, I'm sorry we can't come up with a band. Has anyone heard from Doug Finders? He's always up for class dinners.

I'm really looking forward to the weekend!

Ben called me right after I sent the email asking you if he said anything about bringing his trailer there.  He got stung 4 times yesterday by a hornet on his ear and I guess he was in a lot of pain!  I gave him a bad time about a tiny little bug beating up on my 6'4" baby!  He also had me go on You Tube and watch the fireworks they had at the campgrounds.  WOW!  Did you know they were on You Tube?

I called my mom and I will have her car Saturday after the reunion and drive it back to the campground.  She just made me apologize for making fun of her "tank"!

So, I don't need to bring back any of my CD's?  If we have access to 50's music that's all we need to make us happy!  Just let me know.

Can't wait, I'm getting so excited!  I've already packed a dozen times in my mind!  I really don't have a lot to pack because I got rid of a lot of clothes.  I may just have to go shopping!

See you in 9 days!

I decided to attach a few pictures to help find where we will be at Twin Anchors next week. You will enter between the restauant and camp office/store and follow the road south. Steve and Alecia Storjohann are the 3rd site on the right with the lighted palm tree and flamingo. Jim and I are the 4th site with the wooden "Proud American Family" flag and welcome bear.

Parking is limited to one car per site. Overflow is behind the restrauant and in front of the office.

This is the area directly across from our site where classmates will be camped. Hope you can see it.

If dinner doesn't work with your schedule, but you'd like to see the out-of-town people visiting, feel free to stop by any time.

Remember, there is golf next door and fishing, no license needed. Also a swim beach, but don't come expecting to see my big behind in a swim suit. NOT going to happen! Kids are also welcome.

We'll start the fun a week from tomorrow! Kay

Ben asked me where his camper is going.  I told him I thought it was close to his old spot but he needed to ask you.  I printed out the picture and I'm showing it here at work.  The first words out of everyone's mouth "It sure is green!"

You aren't going swimming with me!??  I'll be in the lake all day on Friday, come in take a shower and clean up and ready for the evening festivities!  I can't wait!  There is nothing wrong with big butts!

Have you seen any extended weather forecasts?  I'm going to check it out today and see what they say for a 2 week forecast.  I know it won't mean anything but maybe I'll get even more excited!

See ya!

Patty

I am so bummed that I won't be able to come to this. I've been reading all your posts and it sounds like such fun. Unfortunately, it's the weekend of our huge Lewis & Clark Festival. So, being away from work is not an option. Hope there's another one next year...but not this same weekend. LOL Have a great time everybody!! I'll be thinking of you all.

KC, Kasey, Kase,...pick one just NOT Sharon Kaye. LOL

Hi Everyone,

I thought I would let everyone know that on Friday the 23rd, around 1:30 pm the following classmates (Bob Anderson, Dave Elledge, Larry O’Neal and myself) are going to meet at Andy’s house, 2207 Governor Road and have a Pre-Barbie toast. We then plan to take off for the Maid Rite for a Pre-Festivities lunch. Jeff Downing is going to try and meet us at the Maid Rite. We invite all 64 classmates who wish to kick off a beginning to a great weekend to meet up at  Andy’s, have a toast and then motorcade to the Maid Rite!  It's time to rev up the excitment!!  Joe C.

Unless someone from the campground like Jim and Kay or Steve drives to town, we'll just be waiting for you guys to get there!  I may have one of my granddaughters but I won't know until I get to Marshalltown.

Sounds like fun though!  Wish I had a Maid-Rite right now!  I work with a guy from Iowa and he's always talking about Maid-Rites!  I'll eat one for him while I'm back there!

See ya!
