Crock Pot Swiss steak

Dredge each piece of steak with flour.

Fry in olive oil (or your choice) until crisp.

Layer in crock pot in this order.

Steak - sliced onions - cream of chicken soup (part of a can)

Repeat layers

Cook on low all day or high for half a day.

Really yummy and easy.

Judy,

I hope that all is well with you and your family.
Thanks for your swiss steak recipe/post.

Was this menu item served at the BUS DEPOT?--one of my favorite Marshalltown eateries.
If I remember correctly, the swiss steak was soaked in gravy and served with mashed potatoes.

I am not much of a cook, but I try to eat very well.
What is dredging meat?

Take great care of yourself and have a wonderful day,

Tom
