I met Ron at Glick Elementary School, and we hit it off right away. We continued to be good friends all through elementary, junior and senior high school.
Ron was a good athlete, he played football, basketball and ran track, he was much stronger than he looked, he was also a fast runner. He played halfback at Anson Junior High and high school.
Ron was also an excellent student, straight A's as I remember.
A group of the guys used to play football in the field behind Ron's parents home. It got a little rough some time without pads and helmets. Several of the guys has a couple sleep over's at his house, good clean fun

Whatever class I was in with Ron, we all knew he was extremely intelligent. He seemed somewhat shy in class but he was always nice to everyone.
