We now have been full time residents of Katy, Texas for 2 years, after going back and forth to our townhome for 8 years. Of course Iowa will always be our home where family and good friends live . Football is everything here and after building the most expensive $70 million dollar stadium in the U.S. for our 9 high schools. We still can't believe it. They also have another stadium that they practice on near the new field. This small town is now one of the fastest growing towns in the U.S. We are still getting use to the traffic, which is crazy!
Our daughter Angie and her family lives ten minutes away . She has been a school teacher for 30 years and teaches in Katy. She is always trying to keep up with Riley since she is now a senior and wants to drive. Riley is our song writer and likes country western music. She is in FFA showing goats and working with flower arrangements. Nick is a district manager for Academy Sports based in Katy, flying to gulf coast states east almost every week. He loves to BBQ and we are gaining weight.
Rob lives in Fishers, IN working at Eli Lilly as a system analyst manager for the past 26 years. He still loves playing his toys for watching T and plays pool with the girls. Brenda is nurse working for a cardiologist 17 years or more. She takes the girls out concert and of course shopping. Rachel is a senior, loves to read and of course finds information on her phone and the internet. Lauren is in 10th grade and is tall at 5' 11". Her sister and Riley are 4'10". She still loves to talk and is the socialite of the three granddaughters.
In our spare time we enjoy taking the back roads to visit family and friends in Iowa, playing a little of golf and sometimes just doing nothing. We plan to travel to the last 4 states that we haven't visited. We will celebrate our 55th Anniversary going on a cruise down the Danube River in early October 2019. Sorry were missing the 55 year class reunion. Have a good timeI
