Good Morning Kay.  First, let me personally thank you and Jim, Steve and Alcia for hosting what I believe will be one of the best class memories we will build together!  To Vic and the others who have assisted in setting the stage for this get together, THANK YOU ALL so much!  To my great disappointment, I have not attended any of our reunions and , for that reason I look forward to this upcoming event with the greatest excitement possible for this old dude!  At my age one would think that I would want time to trickle.  However, for the last few weeks and especially starting this week I want the time to race by UNTIL Friday!  From that point on, I hope it pokes it's way along for those precious hours that we all be together! I look at the names of those mates who are attending and I try to re-live those wonderful  memories that they created for me.  Now for the first time (at least for me), we will be able to share those priceless times and to create many new ones!  The high that I am feeling right now and, which grows by the hour is something you can not get over the counter, or in RX form.  Again, I look so forward to seeing all of you who are attending this class BARBIE!   I am sure that during the next few days, I will probability write more words in order to help contain my wonderful high! Until then I wish you all a VERY SAFE, HAPPY and the highest pre-get together HIGH one can experience!  GOD WILLING AND THE CREEK DON'T, I WILL  SEE YOU ALL FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

The very best wishes to you all! Joe C.

Well, Joe, with all the rain we've had, the creek is indeed on the rise! Hopefully it won't spoil our fun.

When I'm excited, I can't sleep. Jim always teases that I don't sleep from Thanksgiving until Christmas. Last night I finally took a Tylenol PM. It still was after midnight before I fell asleep. LOL I'll be exhausted by Friday.

I have so much to do before I leave on vacations that by the time I hit the bed I'm exhausted!  I'll be rested up and ready to sit up all night and talk!  I'm looking forward to the early morning, sitting around outside with friends drinking coffee.  Do I have to get all dressed up first?  I have a cover all nightgown!

Thanks to Jim and Kay I have a ride from the airport on Thursday!  Only 2 more days of work for me!

See ya all in a few days!

Yippee!  Claudia is coming!  I'm getting so pumped I can hardly stand it!

Vic is on the chat line but I haven't figured out how to join in.

Ben just called and my home is all set up and he left the keys with the office.  I guess I just have to pay an extra $8.00 for a/c.

See ya tomorrow!

Wow! what a cook-in! It was planned for out side, but weather had other Ideas. I for one had one great time, but being the old fart that I am I pooped out after the meal and went home in some sour looking weather.

There were so many class mates talking about memories, and past history it was like a roar of sound. If we had been out side the neighbors would have probably complained. All who provided food it was great, and if any one went away hungry it was their own fault. Sure was good to see so many class mates at one time. I just wish I could have held out a little longer.

It was suggested by some who traveled long distances that we do it every year. Don't know if our class budget would allow that and still have our reunion every five years. Would be nice if we had more local class mates involved in the planning stages of the events we would like to do. Although all ideas may not be adopted they are all considered at meetings.

Oh! yes before I forget and at my age that is quite often! Steve S. if you are realy serious about learning guitar playing! I would be willing to teach you all I know. That should take about five minutes. Don't know much, but am willing to share. You have to have determination to get it done.

All in all I believe the cook-in bash went very well and was a lot of fun. Thanks to all who took part in the planning and exicution of the party. For those who missed it you missed a good one. Shoud have pictures to prove it. There was a lot of shutter bugging going on.

Hi Everyone.  We just got home from the BBQ and I had to tell everyone what a good time we had and I know was had by all.  I want to thank everyoe who planned this get together.  They worked so hard to let everyone know about it and organize things.    We had so much fun and I loved seeing everyone and catching up with their lives and talking over old times.  I also want everyone to  know that no matter what is said about Patty and I it isn't true, but we will have to find a new place to camp if we decide to do this again next year, they won't let us come back.  It has something to do with a ballet and rock and roll music..ha...thanks again Larry and I had so much fun.    Diana Muckeroy (Youngblood)

What a great time, a surprising turnout and probably one of the best weekends EVER!

I can't express how special I feel that so many people showed up and I would like to thank Vic, Kay, Jim, Steve, Lisa and everyone that had anything to do with organizing this fun event.  If you didn't go you really missed a great time.  I want to also thank all of you who came some distance to be there; Joe, Dave, and Penny just to mention a few.

We took LOTS of pictures and they will be posted as soon as Vic has time to go through and weed out the good ones and I'm sure some not so good ones!  Once you see the pictures you will know what you missed!

Thank you all!  It was good to see everyone and I can't wait for the next fun filled get-together!  Hope to see some of you at Zeno's on Monday night!

If you've been following this website, you know that we've been encouraging out-of-town classmates to let Vic know when you're coming to town and we'll gather as many as available to have dinner out. If this past weekend is any indication, it's finally catching on.

The weekend idea started when Patty Gould Duff said she was coming from LasVegas for a family reunion and wanted to camp with her granddaughters at Twin Anchors where Jim & I have a permanent campsite next to Steve and Alecia Storjohan. Let's plan a picnic and see if any classmates want to join us for camping. We had a total of 26 classmates plus spouses for the Friday dinner, 5 more joined us after dinner, one more on Saturday, for a total of 31 classmates! Ten classmates and their families camped. We had many people rave about how much they enjoyed the weekend and the casual atmosphere. For me, the best part was having several people come who have never been to a reunion or not for many years.

For the campers, the party stated when we picked up Patty at the DM airport and moved her into her son's camper. While we hung out at the campground Friday, another group met at the Maid-Rite and welcomed Joe Childs home from Arizona. Our original plan was to have our activities in the camp circle with a campfire for late night conversations. Mother Nature tried her best to spoil our fun with temps in the 90's, and humid. When so many showed up, she threw in thunderstorms. We moved the party into the air-conditioned rec hall where we had enough wonderful food to feed the whole campground. Around 11:00, those remaining moved to Steve's deck where the party lasted until after 3:00 AM! Darlene SmithThomhave and Doug Vincent showed up after midnight. It's hard to believe we're all senior citizens!

Most of the campers were up at 7:00 AM for coffee, conversation and much improved weather. Several classmates came back at different times of the weekend, including Saturday lunch at the adjoining restaurant where Joe enjoyed a homemade tenderloin, something you don't get in Arizona. Saturday night was perfect for a campfire. Another food on his list was Zenos, so Vic sent out an email for pizza Monday night. Our weekend officially ended this Monday morning after breakfast. Jim and I took a 2 hour afternoon nap!

One comment I have heard so many times is, how they enjoy getting to know and enjoy people they didn't hang around with in high school. After 46 years of life experiences, most of us have changed considerably, but we all have one thing in common. We grew up in a simpler time, in a great community, where we had the opportunity for a good education. Many of those memories were enjoyed over a great weekend.

Several suggested that we plan another campout/picnic next year, probably in September. Stay tuned for another dinner date this September when Jim Studts comes home and please let us know when any of you visit, the earlier the better.

Jim and Kay

Just want to take a few minutes to express my feelings in regard to the BBQ---It was so much fun, I laughed and talked (imagine that) so much I thought my jaws would be sore.  But I still could move them enough to enjoy the Zeno's Pizza on Monday night.  When I tell people about our graduating class and all we do and the fun we have, I think they might be a little jealous.  I want to thank everyone for all their hard work, and for all those who made the effort to show up. There was so much food,  it was hard to choose.  The steaks were cooked to perfection.  Thanks Jim and Steve for grilling them.  Also thanks to Patty for letting me stay in the camper with her, even though we were woke up sort of abruptly on Sunday morning.  It's things like that we will remember.  Thanks again for the effort on everyones part especially to those who came from a long distance.  Your classmate Jean Detrich Woolf
